Re-Rig

Re-Rig

Competition The Louisiana continental shelf contains around 5,500 oil platforms. The majority of these platforms are expected to be decommissioned in the next ten years requiring that 150-200 oil platforms to be removed annually. Research has shown that oil jackets provide opportunities for rich marine ecosystems to grow on the oil jacket structure. Having a marine research education laboratory on an oil jacket can provide opportunities for a variety of research such as aquaculture.

Fire Station 5

Fire Station 5

Competition Honorable Mention Efficiency is an essential factor in the design of a fire station, thus circulation needs to operate with clarity and simplicity. The program is stacked around the apparatus bay to ensure quick response time. The buildings program is stacked vertically to limit the buildings footprint on the site, and create a building typology that better suited an urban environment.

Coeur d 'Alene After the Reign

Kinetic Shelter

Kinetic Shelter

Conceptual Project Inspired by the ideas of the “Situationist”, the design attempts to create spaces that can continually be changed and altered to a myriad of different spaces bringing continual interest to the people that inhabit it. The shelter can be easily rearranged to accommodate for the needs of users through the use of the track system that is based on an x,y grid which allows the individual components of the shelter to move independently.

Moscow Aquatic Center

Moscow Aquatic Center

Studio Project The structural expression of the aquatic center takes inspiration from observing the phenomena of fluid dynamics and crosscurrents in water. The structure not only acts as a cover but also as an expression of water's fluidity.
